SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

P.S. joan-daardvark has posted a (so far) three-part discussion of the use of the words "play", "game" and "real" in the Series, Good Omens. (as opposed to the Novel, Script, or 1991 movie-that-wasn't) It shows how carefully that script was written. Part 1 meta Part 2 meta Part 3 meta

...worse, appears in ancient Egyptian art and, if I recall correctly, also in ancient Sumerian art. It does help to explain why Michael in Good Omens is so judgemental. Although the scales are not shown in the series, they also could link Michael to Famine, whose symbol is the scales used to...

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

Good Omens musical is still in development: https://www.goodomensthemusical.com/ Being developed by a team in regional NSW, they held a work-in-progress version last year which several of the Sydney fans went to see. I, unfortunately, have not seen or heard any of it, but perhaps we'll hear more...

...among the versions, when I do it's not too hard to type out Novel-x, Script-x, Series-x, and if I ever find a copy of it, Musical-x (the Good Omens musical is a real thing). (I use hyphens because it's extra motion to type the ! that many people online use to specify e.g. Novel!Aziraphale.) I...

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

The huge online fandom for Good Omens has developed some specialized language. GOmens. Snek (for all things snake-related). Snootch (smootch+snoot). Crossover language: AJ and Zira (for the Series), versus Crow and Azi (for the Novel) --I think I have those right, but I don't think there's a...

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

I had to look up the Ascot tie - it seems to be something from before I was born. Wow; if anything, an Ascot tie is even more formal than his usual bow-tie. As for the BBC screening "Good Omens" - it's about time! :)

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

Hmm... it's been years since I've read "Good Omens", so I can't remember what happened to Hastur. In the film, all we see is Crowley and Hastur (who possessed a mortal's body in the call centre) in the car. As Crowley drives through the fire, Hastur simply screams and screams, so I implied from...

...is for your spirit or soul to be separated from your body when the body has been destroyed. ...other hand, there's a nice bit when Elvis is - briefly - shown. I was wondering if that would be explained for viewers who'd never read "Good Omens", but it never was. I hope no-one would be confused by that. Sheen and Tennant are fantastic. Everyone else do a fine job at their...

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

I see it as being something that people typically say when they’re trying to contact ‘the other side’, like in seances or using a ouija board. But you could be right.

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

The Wall was considerably later than 1973. It came out in 1982. As Good Omens came out in 1990, then it could well be the case. I can't speak for Neil, but Terry was more into Thomas Tallis than Floyd (I think).

..."Comfortably Numb". the first words of the song: "Hello, is there anybody in there?" --Pink Floyd, The Wall Is this an annotation for Good Omens, when Aziraphale tries to contact Heaven? SPOILERS Mr Mercedes

Not something I've heard of. I tend to watch DVDs based on people's reactions - it's why I have all the seasons of Agents of Shield and Battlestar Galactica. And I just today got the DVD of Good Omens.
