    Any Questions?

Thanks for help. Well, I've read about 10% of the Reaper Man, so I guess I could go back to Moving Pictures and then finish Reaper Man.

    Any Questions?

Hi Jon. :) Moving Pictures is particularly memorable for introducing a whole bunch of characters that will become important in later books. It's also the start of a whole new period in Ankh-Morpork and the rest of Discworld. Yes, you can skip it - but be sure to get around to reading it. To...

    Any Questions?

Archchancellor Ridcully is introduced in Moving Pictures (who makes an appearance in Reaper Man too) apart from that you won't miss much by going for Reaper man first :P

    Any Questions?

...Yesterday evening I finished reading Eric. I've been reading Discworld books in publishing order so far, so the next book should be Moving pictures. However, at this time I would prefer reading the next book, Reaper man. Is it ok or I would be missing something out? Also, since it's...

    SPOILERS Eric Discussion **Spoilers**

...I get the impression it was an idea that tickled Terry and he just ran with it as a bit of fun. It's an enjoyable book, but nowhere near the standard of Guards! Guards! or Moving Pictures to come. I've more thoughts on it here if you are stuck in the office and bored as hell. I know I am!

    the right order

...Wear Midnight, as that is most definitely a series. So that will be: Wee Free Men, Hat Full of Sky and Wintersmith before ISWM. :) Moving Pictures is something of a stand alone book and can be read at any point. It is particularly interesting as it introduces some favourite characters for...

I have at home Moving Pictures and I Shall Wear Midnight. What you suggest? Start with one of this or read them in written order or something like that?

    Discworld Translations

Exactly my meaning. Of course, it's only my own impression, especially since I am reading the english novels in direct comparison to the German version. Others may think different or it doesn't jumps to the eye in such an annoying way, but me ... it just got on my nerves or even makes me angry...

    Discworld Translations

Wow! What a situation! I thought all translation would have better and worse things than the originals but for what you say, German translators didn’t respect Pratchett style and criticisms at all. What unfair! :o Yes, I understand what you mean. There are things in Spanish that I also...

    SPOILERS Maskerade Discussion *Spoilers*
