How did battlefield earth get in there? Hubbard is one of the worst science fiction writers ever! Is it bad that it didn't vote on the prattchet book? I haven't read small gods yet and I didn't really like going postal. o_O

But best scifi fantasy of all time and they put in a CS Lewis that isn't Narnia . Seems insane. No Lewis Carroll either or Baum. Wheres Harry Potter and what is the scientologist loony bins rubbish doing on the list. Theres worse mistakes than missing Pyramids

Neither did I o_O

Hard to choose only ten and there were several on there on my to be read shelves. I think it's a shame Margaret Atwood's The Year of the Flood wasn't on there when Oryx and Crake was :(

They missed the biggest selling fantasy book of all time.

The main character is inconsistently written and often repulsive, it purports to be a tome of morality but comes across as a filibuster, and it is boring and long. The sort of thing that you would read either as a masochist, or for a bet.

So, not unlike Atlas Shrugged, then.

Anyway, I voted. I was pissed to see a complete lack of Doctor Who novels, but duly voted not only for two of my favourite Discworld novels (Small Gods and Going Postal), but for the Dune Chronicles, the Vorkosigan Saga, House of Leaves, American Gods, The Gone-Away World, Solaris, The Stand, and Watchmen.

Pity you can only vote for 10, I wanted to add The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, A Clockwork Orange, The Dark Tower series, Frankenstein, Neuromancer, the Otherland series, The Princess Bride, A Scanner Darkly, The Stars My Destination, The Lord of the Rings, World War Z and Nineteen Eighty-Four. :(
