Just posted in the Art thread - an idea occurs :twisted:

Another thing that's flitting across my mind here is to nudge Lyndsey Dalloway over at Transworld about goodie bags for the 2012 Convention and seeing if maybe we can interest Transworld into producing an official souvenir for the Birmingham Convention...? :twisted:

So how about that as an inducement to whip up some cool artwork 8)

Hey Cheery - we're trying to get this going again - would you like to do the Watch suit (clubs) as Jane seems to have disappeared?

We had 4 people to draw the face cards and aces for each suit as per our poll which means

Death (Mort, Reaperman etc) = Spades;
Witches (Wyrd Sisters, Wintersmith etc) = Hearts;
The Watch (Guards! Guards! Nightwatch etc) = Clubs;
Wizards (Colour of Magic, Unseen Academicals etc) = Diamonds

So we have 2 spaces possibly as we seem to have lost Jane and Mystmoon and Cheery aren't around much either but I'm still trying to get a hold of them (must get on deviant and nudge), but Bikkit's still on board.

Jane was going to do the Watch, but if Cheery's still up for it I think she's the one to do that set. Mystmoon was doing the Death Series and I'm not sure who was doing the Witches or Wizards except that Bikkit was one of them... If I can't get people back in here in the next 2 weeks then I think what we'll do is just put the template on and people can use that to just do which ever character they want to draw and we'll see how that goes - all I know is that I didn't want to have to design character cards myself as I don't really do Discworld art which is why I just did the number cards side of it and the back design based on the forum artwork, so anyone who wants to have a bash at it can and I'll slide the results into the templates

Or something like that.
There are just too many watch characters to put on there.
I think we have to do two of those

Wizards could be

Ace - HEX / Luggage
Joker - Rincewind
King - Ridcully
Queen - the Dean?
Jack - Stibbons

I've already got ideas for the watch deck:

These are only idea-sketches, which is why they're so sketchy and generally not all that good.
I tried to make a parody of the classic card decks. Didn't really achieve it yet, but I'll figure it out.
Still can't draw Sybil, but I'm fairly happy with the rest of them. I'm just stuck with one thing: what could Colon be holding instead of a sword? Carrot already has one, so I can't give Colon one too.
