Well the next discworld book is not going to be Making Money according to Jason's latest info in the Discworld Monthly - Issue 190 - February 2013, wonders what it will be then. o_O:

Yep it called the Long war and it's being released on the 20th June of this year
the one I'm looking forward to is A slip of the keyboard which I think is being released about September of this year

I'm getting a feeling that PTerry is either simply tired of writing full-length DW novels (after 40 or so, he's entitled to be) or is struggling to start or complete one that he might be working on now (presumably the 'final' Moist book). Most of his efforts today seem to be focused either on commercializing DW through collaborations with others, moving on to new collaboration concepts (the Long Earth stuff) or writing new novels entirely (Dodger). He certainly has the right to write--or not write-whatever he wants and to retire the series (or let his daughter take over) as he see fits. But I'm not holding my breath in expectation that a great DW novel is forthcoming anytime soon.

Look, we already know he's writing another Discworld book, and that it's *not* Raising Taxes. Tweets from a month or so ago confirm this. He hasn't said what it is yet. Possibly it'll be an end-of-2013 release, but I'm suspecting perhaps it'll be out in 2014 instead.

First April 11, then May 11, now Amazon is listing May 28 2013 for publication of TSoD IV. But who knows, their publication dates appear to be invented on the spot by whoever happens to be typing in the listing.
