Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone who has the US Covers of the Discworld books (i.e. not Josh Kirby/Paul Kidby) could do some high quality scans for me? I have sourced many of the covers from this website and a general websearch, but most are very small files which won't do for what I need them for.
So what do I need them for?
I've actually been the Quiz Master at the last two Nullus Anxietas Australian Discworld Conventions, and will again be running the Quiz at the Unseen University Convivium. For these previous 2 quizzes, I've done a bonus round called "Discworld Coverup" which featured small pieces of Discworld & Pratchett covers, which the teams then have to guess. With covers drawn by Josh and Paul, there's always a corner or segment somewhere that, out of context, makes it somewhat difficult to guess which book it comes from.
For the UU Convivium, I want to do a Discworld Coverup round that features the sometimes odd images that have appeared on the US covers over the years - and I even want to include the really bad ones from the early printings, if possible! It'll be even more tricky to guess
So... if you have copies of the books with US covers (any edition, but I'd love a mix of early & late), and you're happy to scan or photograph the covers for me, please email me on UnseenUni2012@gmail.com!
Thanks,
Seeya. Danny.
