A cabbie was telling me the other day that he and his wife went to Dublin for a long weekend a couple of weeks ago.

He nearly fainted when they had a meal in a pub:

2 x Steak & Chips
2 x Beer

SIXTY EUROS.

Sadly it is that bad in a few of the touristy spots. Best not to eat in the pubs right beside tourist spots.
