That's the problem, reading gives me energy, because I become so absorbed in the book, and I don't get tired until I stop reading! Borrowed the sixth Harry potter of a friend and read it one day. Fortunately I had the following morning off, because must have been about 4am when I finished reading, but the look on his face was worth it when I returned his book the day after borrowing it!

Hi.

Can anyone help?

I'm trying to remember which novel features Vimes going to the college of heralds to draw up a coat of arms and meeting up with the head herald, a vampire.

Hi Dotsie and Tonyblack.

Thank you both for the greetings of welcome and also for the answer to my quest, I'd gone through all the Vimes stories but somehow overlooked Feet of Clay!

The diagrams of the various coats of arms on the inside pages is a little bit of a give away. ;)

Hi All.
I haven't visited in a while, and this is my first time in this topic.

I have always wondered why Sir Terry devised the currency of Ankh-Morpork as Dollars. Could it be a sort of nod to US/Canada/Australia where the currency is also Dollars?

Not available, Tony. The page is there, but no price listed, and "this title not available". Next question: What would happen if I clicked the buy button on the UK page? Would they translate the pounds into dollars and send me the book on my Kindle?
And is there a rational explanation for it not being available in the US?

The odd thing is, I did click to buy on the US site yesterday (I'm sure there was a Buy button there then) and got a message saying: Your Kindle is registered to Amazon.co.uk so this item is unavailable to you.

I've always figured it was a hitch at the publisher's end, not Amazon. It just makes no sense to offer two-thirds of a trilogy on Kindle and never make the last book available! I suppose I could order the paperback. My local library does not have it, and it is not available thru inter-library loan either.

Hello all.
I have started reading Discworld series, and so far I have read two books(The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic).
The reason I am here, is I don't have an idea where to continue with the reading. I looked for some reading order tutorials, but would appreciate advice from people reading the books.
Should I follow the release date chronology, or rather something like this:

If yes to the picture, which ''path'' to follow and why?

Thank you very much for advice. :)

matter of taste really. some prefer different books to others. Personally i'd say the watch books starting with Guards Guards because i love the WAtch characters, especially Vimes but thats just me
