I just listened to the last episode on BBC radio player, it is funny
Just felt like transcribing this bit.

I've adored you since the moment I first met you,
when I floated down beside you in the zoo,
I knew at once I never could forget you,
you do something to me that nobody else can do,

Oh-oh... spiny porcupine,
won't you be... my Valentine,
tell me... one day you will be mine,
you gorgeous spiny porcupine.

Although we're very different, did you feel the same as me,
when I landed on that sunny afternoon?
Did you look beyond the surface and know we were meant to be?
Do you think that you could love me even though I'm a balloon?

Oh-oh... spiny porcupine,
let us share... a glass of sparkling wine,
then maybe go on back to mine,
divinely spiny porcupine.

Balloon boys are so boring, so lightweight and so smooth.
whereas you're exciting, and you're dangerous and cool.
My friends all say you'll hurt me, but I know that's not the truth.
They're just jealous and don't know you like I do.

So-oh... spiny porcupine,
let me be... your concubine,
how I long... for our bodies to intertwine,
I'm sure it'll all work out just fine!
I love you spiny porcupine.

I listened to the Doctor Who audio story The Holy Terror a couple of days ago. It was...disappointing, really. Not a bad story by any means, but nowhere near the level of excellence that other stories by the same author, Robert Shearman, got to.
That's a pity. I haven't heard that one.

I've just ordered my first Big Finish plays for years! A Death in the Family and Kiss Of Death.

I new series of the That Mitchell And Webb sound is coming in November. Both pleased and surprised. Much prefer their radio series to the TV series. They can play things like large slow moving flightless birds Simon the radio.

Just listened to a bunch more stories, including the main range story The Eye of the Scorpion, and the Companion Chronicles The Mahogany Murderers, The Time Museum, and Mastermind. I wholeheartedly recommend the latter. It is, pun intended, a Masterful Masterpiece.

Neverwhere to be repeated over Christmas.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/radio4/posts ... re-returns

Well here is a Christmas treat - albeit quite a dark one – instead of the 12 days of Christmas, Radio 4 are doing the six nights of ‘Neverwhere’, which was a hit for BBC Radio 4 Extra & BBC Radio 4 the earlier this year. Originally broadcast across the two networks, this will be the first time that every episode of the hugely popular series by Neil Gaiman will be on BBC Radio 4.
