His Birthday in the book and original film (Called Willy Wonka and the Chocalate Factory(Gene Wilder is amazing))anyway .
Not sure about the awful remake Johnny Depp is actually bad in it.
But surely even a one off plot device refering too christams is a lot less than an entire film set at christmas

Well, yeah, but.....close enough :p
I didn't think it was that well known because I rarely hear anyone mention it.

Hijack!

I know it's Christmas now, I've just slipped first disc of Lord of the Rings Extended Edition into the DVD player. ;)
Just because its got elves in does not make it a christmas film! :p
I've watched them every Christmas since 2001, Fellowship came out this very week 10 years ago, so they are Christmas traditions to me, if not Christmas films...

Gremlins of course.

I'd go with Lord of teh Rings for Christmas too.

Watched Elf last week, that and Anchorman are the only Farrell films I like.

SANTA'S COMING :)

Yes, that was fun.

I've just watched that new thing with Eddie Izzard (Lost Christmas). Oh. My. God.

And I thought that It's a Wonderful Life was drivel. I will never, ever complain about Clarence-the-bloody-Angel again.

It was awful. Just awful - I need a vomiting smiley here. It was all summed up at the end by some poor sod with a Tom Waits-style voice singing Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmas Time over the gooey, sentimental ending as if the idiotic lyrics actually meant something:

The choir of children sing this song.
Ding...... Dong....... Ding ...........
....D-o-o-o-o-o-n-n-g-g
[Vomiting smiley]

I just hope they paid him well as he was the only one in the whole lousy thing who put any sort of effort into his work on it.
