I've never seen Bones, but I love Kathy Reichs' books. Lucky you!

It's not quite the same as the Brennan books by KR.

She says at the back of one of the books that this show is set before Brennan takes the job in Canada.

They've left a lot out of it - she still has an ex-husband, but there's no grown up daughter, and no dog/cat thing.

Yeah - I've seen an interview with her where she talks about it. I think it's more a sort of alternative reality Brennan.

Funnily enough, I know several people who love the books, but hate the TV show.

The same with Monk. Detest the show, but love the books.

I love her books. Wouldn't say I hate the show (it does include David Boreanaz after all ) but I don't watch it much either.
I think TV Brennan is pretty annoying actually.

After having watched S5 and S6 over the weekend (and have started from the beginning again!) I can honestly say that TV Brennan needs a damn good slapping.

I was somewhat tearful at the end of S6.

Actually, it wasn't until this morning that I got upset, and nearly started crying as I was getting ready for work!

I have a selection of favourite episodes saved on the digital box and its one of them but its hard to watch. Next episode is great though. Really makes you like Booth. He says exactly the right thing at the right time .

Nope. The don't make me go thing is the second last episode of the series , the next one is at the bowling alley were the bones and stuff come down instead of pins. And the baby is born and certain news comes out
