The local cat shelter charity shop was having a sale of books today - 45p each or 3 for £1. I managed to get two copies of Unadulterated Cat - large format paperback and hardback and a copy of Paul Gallico's The Silent Miaow. I've just realised that the paperback, Unadulterated Cat is a first edition.

Anyone in the area of Washington, D.C.: The annual Stone Ridge Used Book Sale (four days, two and a half large gymnasiums filled with books and refilled as books are sold), held every spring for 46 years, will be ended after this year. This year (April 11-14, 2014) will be the very last, they say. I have found some treasures there in the past. I expect to be there this year, along with thousands of other people. (A websearch will find their website.)

I take it you have to be there in person Tamar. o_O:
Yes, unfortunately for anyone who can't get to the D.C. area. There are some good used bookstores online that are based in Maryland - Second Story Books is one - but the Stone Ridge sale is just a school fundraiser, not a bookstore.
