Chose-your-own-adventure books

So, what do you think of those kind of books/stories?
To me they were my way back to reading fantasy (granted, I am aware there are all genres for CYOA stories, I prefered Fantasy and Mystery though).
Your thoughts?
Maybe recommendations? Or warnings about which series are just awful?

When we were young, my brother and I were obsessed with the Fighting Fantasy books by Jackson and Livingston. They were the first of the Lord of the Rings type fantasy I was aware of, coming in around 8-10 years before I read Tolkien. It was these and the TV show Knightmare that opened my eyes to Fantasy. My favourite was The Legend of Zagor.

I hate these books
I've read about 20 and think there so annoying

That's what I was wondering. I'd have given up after two.

I read 2 or 3, but it was very annoying to read them, so I gave up on them.

Tried one once, but Was never interested in them.

funny that, since i'm a huge gamer and alot of them (especially Heavy Rain) are choose your own adventure stories.

I just ended up reading every single page, and obviously, it didn't make sense, so I started getting very annoyed.
