Well they came out every Christmas for 3 years, and obviously I would rewatch the previous one before the new one, then I just carried on the tradition once they had stopped. I usually start watching them while I am making my paper chains.
Sure, why not? It's got lots of elves and people in long white beards, it's got giant trees, greedy childlike creatures, and at the end a savior comes to save the planet from evil, helped by a couple of little wise men with a gift of gold for the fire. And, like Christmas, it takes weeks and weeks and weeks of anticipation before it arrives, and when it's there, a letdown inevitably occurs.

I have a weird fixation with How The Grinch Stole Christmas, I can watch it over and over. I think its the colours or something, plus some of Jim Carrey's funniest moments. I dont get the hate, I think its awesome. I wish a film adaptation of a Discworld story could have such a believable strange little world created. I used to think much of the acting in the Discworld movies was over the top and affected the quality of the film, but looking at the Grinch, its all over the top acting and its still good. Mabye the Discworld films just suffer from bad acting
