I was watching a (recorded) repeat of a Midsomer Murders last night, and Samantha Bond's character came out with a terrific line.

Her husband had died, and after the funeral, the villagers came up to her to give their respects, and to ask if it was still OK for the annual village fete to be held on her land.

"No. You'll have to find somewhere else to stick your maypole".

(F**K! Lost my original post. Ah, never mind.)

Samantha Bond was in quite a few Midsomer Murders, wasn't she?

Anyway, here's my first.

Adam: (as they interleave phonebook pages) Does this remind you of when you used to count money for the mob?

Jamie: I was a hitman. I didn't count money.

-Jamie Hyneman kidding around with Adam Savage (or is he?) in Mythbusters.
