Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but I saw recently that the collectors library is continuing.

https://www.terrypratchettbooks.com/the-discworld-collectors-library-will-continue/

One thing I noticed on that page is that it says the series will continue for all of the adult discworld novels. Does anyone know if this means the Tiffany Aching books are not going to be included, or will there finally be one complete set of editions/covers for the series. These editions are pretty expensive and i don't want to pay out only to find that 5 books are unavailable. (I know the last hero is often not available in a matching style but since they've done eric i'm assuming that will also be done?)

There's no way to know short of asking them directly. They seem to have been moving cautiously, doing only a few books at a time. Now they're cautiously saying that they will do the rest of the adult novels. They aren't saying they won't do the Tiffany Aching books, but they're not making any promises about them either way. My best guess on no evidence is that they probably will eventually do the Tiffany books (and The Amazing Maurice And His Educated Rodents) as long as the full line of adult books keeps selling and people ask them to. My opinion is that it is more likely that they would have difficulty producing The Last Hero, because that was designed from the beginning as a large book with pictures that added to the story, not merely illustrations. Even the end papers are part of the story.

To be honest, I always much, much preferred the Josh Kirby and Paul Kidby covers.

In comparison, the covers on the Collectors' Library (note missing apostrophe) are just... ugh. *makes a face*

Sorry if that makes me look like an elitist snob. *blush* That's just my personal preference; no offence meant. :)

I prefer most of the Paul Kidby covers, but I tend to dislike the Kirby covers. I'm in between on the Collectors' Library covers; I like some of them, but not all. I also usually like the Stephen Player ones on Steven Briggs' play adaptations, but again, not all.

Where on the other hand I really like Josh's busy covers, while I also like Paul's artwork Josh does have the edge for me I think that it is very good Terry had two such talented artists to do the covers, best of both worlds with two different styles.

I do like both but on the whole preferred Josh's covers (although I can understand why they might have put off the more serious-minded reader). Having said that, my favourite cover of them all is 'Night Watch'.

As an alternative, Marc Simonetti's work on the French covers is excellent as well.
