 I've been known to 'rescue' Pratchett books from charity shops, even though I've already got them. And ex library copies too. But I then pass them on to people who have trouble getting them.

It seems to me that Pratchett books are a lot rarer in charity shops these days. Sometimes you'll see a whole bunch of them and you wonder how come someones collection ended up there. But they aren't like Dan Brown books - every single charity shop in the world has at least one copy of The Da Vinci Code for sale.*

*This may be a slight exaggeration.

I've seen authors have a shelf to themselves but i have seen on several occasions in charity shops one entire shelf of Da Vinci Code. Probably work out cheaper than bogroll.

There's one charity shop I go to and I noticed something odd about the books on display, but could readily work it out. I eventually realised that they'd been sorted by colour.

I did fix the order of the books in Chapters(second hand shop in dublin) about two weeks ago. It was satisfying but its odd because my own ones aren't actually in order on the shelf
They're in order of hardbacks / signed / short storie collections and then paper back. it works in an odd way. The paper backs are in order though but the hardbacks are a bit mixed.

Interesting experiment to sort by colour

That's OK then.

I finished Strata last week so I have now read both books. They were both good, 3/5 if I had to rate them, though I don't normally.

My favourite scene in DSOFM was Issac versus the lower class robots.

Liked Strata a bit more, especially the way he did the ending cross-cutting between Kin's conversation and their flight.

Am now 50 pages into Truckers.
