So, if you could visit Ankh - Morpork

- Which characters would you hope to find?
- Which streets would you like to explore?

I had fun with the Compleat Ankh-Morpork working out routes around the city. I wonder if the app will have the equivalent of googlemaps and allow you to plan routes. That would be cool!
I've been to some dodgy places and eaten some rather dubious foodstuffs in the past so I would like to visit the shades and sample one of Dibbler's sausage inna bun.

Official word from Transworld:

Thanks to everyone for your feedback on an Android version of the app. We're really sorry not to be able to launch the app for all platforms at this early stage but we certainly haven't ruled out developing a version for other platforms in the future, so we welcome your suggestions. In the meantime, it's a really exciting new development for Discworld and we hope that those that can download it do, and enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed creating it.

Ipads are annoying, you need a computer to download apps. I mean seriously, do apple assume anyone buying an ipad is rich? "only people who already have computers will buy our ipads"? so this is just me letting off steam but I do think it's a bit silly, if you have the internet I don't understand why downloads aren't possible.

You don't need a computer to download apps on an iPad, you just need an iPad and wifi. I've never connected my iPad to my computer.

I don't use wi-fi, I don't like the idea of bringing hundreds of pounds worth of equipment into town just to use the free wi-fi there, again there should be no reason I can't download using the... uh... not broadband... i'm on a contract with three-mobile...... lets just say broadband for now.

Think I'll pass - I've got maps, and there doesn't seem to be anything new.
If the promotional video is accurate, it shows people moving around on the map. I suppose it might even be possible that there would be a professional mugging somewhere, but as I don't do apps, I'll never know.
