From what Ian & Bernard have told us at DWCON2014 and Nullus Anxietas V, it's an actual full Atlas, plus a full-world-map, plus lots of text as per early-era travel guides. So, somewhat more similar to The Compleat Ankh-Morpork than to the Discworld Mapp (although the continents are probably all still in the same place)

I like the style of the art, but there are some errors. Mrs Gogol's house in the swamp had four duck feet, not two. Also, it was the kingdom of Al-Ybi, not Djelibeybi, where a badly educated deity cursed the head of state with the Glod Touch.
I don't remember the Dire Yak at all. Did it appear before, or is it entirely new?

That is an error Bernard has made before, when Clarecraft made their model of the house that had two feet and even more oddly as well as being webbed they had claws

I'm with you on this as well Tamar, this looks to be something invented for the atlas

.... Unless paul kidby is doing the art i think i'll not buy the atlas, i mean the art is good, sure but for me the only true appearance of discworld characters/biengs are paul kidby's version.

I mean no offence, but they may aswell have hired some talented stranger off the street (ok, obviously thats what everyone is to each other hahaha but you know what i mean) and they expect me to view this strangers drawings as the "official" look of the characters? I want to feel a familiarity when i view discworld character art, i can only get that with P.K.

Doesn't mean i think the art is bad of course.
