You don't have to wear a costume at all. It's not compulsory.

I won't be wearing a costume as I never do, more room in the case for books etc and don't want to be stung at the airport for the extra weight.

I'm going to Rotterdam by boat from hull so won't have a luggage problem....until I have to get the bus from Hull home. then things might get tricky...

I'll worry about that on the day!

Would just like to share that some folks DID NOT change their clothes at ALL during the AUS Con and they really STANK by the end. It was awful lining up for the closing ceremony - we actually went to the back of the queue, it was that or be physically ill.

And really, there is no excuse! Costumes are cool but they do not have to be elaborate, wear the convention shirt one day and remember to bathe!

Sacharissa sounds interesting, but she has a bustle and a very defined old-fashioned dress that I could see costing a fortune to reproduce.

I like the sound of old Tiffany, if I can make a bunny pendant cheaply (it won't look like the one in the book, but I don't care - that one was too expensive). How would anyone know I was Esk? She might be tricky. Maybe just a generic witch - pointy hat, wart, dangling bogey, that sort of thing.

I've got quite a collection of convention and other Discworld polo and T-shirts which I alternate through the weekend. The costume only got an airing during the Gala Dinner last year.
