The German one is more open I think due to the smaller numbers but you should have no problem about just turning up and getting a day pass, and at the American ones they open the dealers room to anybody regardless of if you're a member or not.

If it did not clash with our Fantasycon in Brighton I would definitley come over for it.

Yes, but I not a fan of black ones too depressing, and to have some good beer as well as it's a Discworldcon and I missed the first one two years ago, but it was in February then buggeritt. I suppose you could call me a conoholic.

True if it's an LBD on a woman. but I find black on me a bit depressing lack of colour dark etc. I very rarely wear it but do on occasions.

We always go to the big Games con in October in Essen.It´s way cool and has two whole halls dedicated to role play (and the dressup kits for it).
I´m always trying to save up to buy a laced leather corset but it´s so expensive.I may get the ears this year tho...

Do you wear a different costume every day then?!?

Would just like to share that some folks DID NOT change their clothes at ALL during the AUS Con and they really STANK by the end. It was awful lining up for the closing ceremony - we actually went to the back of the queue, it was that or be physically ill.

And really, there is no excuse! Costumes are cool but they do not have to be elaborate, wear the convention shirt one day and remember to bathe!

Don't have a go at them Maybe they all went as Foul Ole Ron?

[DE] The German Discworld Convention 2011 will take place from 30th
September to 3rd October 2011. Assassins will roam the halls of
Castle Bilstein but they promise not to harm visitors of the 3rd
German Discworld Convention during that time (except when contracted).

Registration has started and about 80 tickets remain.
