Can't wait to see this. Been excited for it since the season break with only some brief relief at Christmas.

Incidentally on the subject of Doctor Who. A Time Lord has 12 regenerations. David Tennant's Doctor regenerated back into the same Doctor once. Does this count as one of his regenerations? River Song also used all her remaining regenerations to save the Doctor once. Did he gain any extra regenerations from this?

I believe there was a throw-away line by Matt Smith's Doctor in an episode of Sarah-Jane Adventures where he basically said a Time Lord could regenerate over and over.

This from Den of Geek:

Matt Smith's Doctor is asked by Clyde just how many times he can regenerate. The Doctor tells him that there's not a limit. Then they just get on with the episode.

I thought I'd heard something to that effect too, but I remember 'The Lets Kill Hitler' episode. Unless River didn't have the ability to regenerate as often as she likes because she was mostly human.

There was that thing with Romana as well, if I remember correctly. She was a Time Lord/Lady who regenerated. But before she decided on her final 'look', she tried several different bodies - rather like she was trying costumes on. She didn't seem bothered that she might be using up regenerations.

My theory was that she hadn't fully regenerated, she was merely in an intermediate stage when she tried out those bodies, so she didn't use up her regenerations.

Of course, another theory was posited by a short story, where an avatar of the TARDIS actually did that whole sequence, and explored Skaro with the Doctor during the events of Destiny of the Daleks, because the TARDIS was jealous of Romana.
