Barry Jackson has died. Famous (mostly) for his role as the pathologist in Midsomer Murders, he also played 3 roles in Doctor Who over the years.

I know. :( He was good as Bullard in Midsomer Murders, and I've seen two of his roles in Doctor Who. He played a mute assassin in The Romans (gets the s*** beaten out of him by the Doctor and Vicki  ), and a rather dodgy but ultimately good-hearted Time Lord called Drax in The Armageddon Factor. Unfortunately, his second role in the series is in an episode currently missing.

Except for Day of the Doctor, I've caught up. Really enjoyed this season and The Snowmen. I thought Clara was fun and I'll be really sorry to see Matt Smith go. Skimmed through this thread and saw that he was filming in Detroit! I had no idea we were in the same state. If I'd known, I might have tried to go watch. Actually, that's probably a lie. We are talking about Detroit after all.

Watched it for the second time this morning.

I'm really glad the 11th Doctor got such a dignified exit (in comparison with some I could mention  ).

Loved 12's first word.
"Kidneys!"

Yes but that's read by Quatermass, NOT Tom Baker! :p
Um, not to be rude, but if I wanted to hear Tom Baker's voice reading out dialogue in a story called Pyramids of Mars, I'll watch the DVD. I do have it. I'm not a fan of audiobooks. Full-cast audio dramas are another kettle of fish entirely.

BTW, I recommend the DVD. It has one of the funniest special features ever on a Doctor Who DVD: Oh Mummy! It's about Sutekh's post-Who career. And it has some great docos besides for an all-time great story.

"KNEEEEEL BEFORE THE MIGHT OF SUTEKH!"

Oh, it's one of the all-time greats, Sutekh's unconvincing jackal-head and Sarah's continuity-breaking "I'm from 1980" remark notwithstanding.
