Digital Spy:

In the run-up to this year's Christmas special, we've got a few treats in store for all you Doctor Who fans!

For starters, here's our traditional ten teasers as to what's coming up in the festive episode! Having been given a sneak peek, we can guarantee that there won't be a dry eye in the house come December 25th.

Prepare yourself for the tragic but uplifting tale of Kazran Sardick, his love Abigail Pettigrew and their strange new friend, The Doctor...

1. The Doctor finally tells a lie too big for the psychic paper.

2. "The other half is ****** the *****."

3. We learn exactly why bow-ties are cool.

4. Abigail breaks into song twice, but there's an interesting reason why.

5. The Doctor once spent a revealing evening with Frank Sinatra, Einstein and Father Christmas.

6. "Why are they singing?" "For ***** *****."

7. Turns out The Doctor is rubbish at card tricks.

8. "Marilyn, get your coat!"

9. Kazran gets a glimpse at his past, present and future - but not in the way you might expect.

10. "No chance. Completely impossible. Except at Christmas."

How to not get eated by flying sharks

DON'T
- lecture them. Sharks do not understand lectures.
- Provoke them. This will only worsen your grevious bodily harm.
- Scream about who they're messing with. They're sharks. Sorry but sharks are not reknowned for their mastery of the english language.
- Stand up. Especially whilst doing the above things. Standing up means that it is much easier for them to bite your head off.
- Run away. Sharks are fast.

DO
- lie down. The fins on the bottom of the shark's body and the fact that it has to stay flying (probably) and has no hands will mean that it simply cannot reach down far enough to eat you.
- Aim for its eyes or nose in a fight. Both of there are extreamly important sensory organs to the shark.

It'll be interesting to see how many of these rules are broken next week

It sad. I don't know if I am more excited about Santa or Dr Who....
it will screen here on Boxing Day. The girls are upset that they will miss it as they spend Boxing Day at thier dad's house and if he can ruin Christmas or something anyone really wants he does.

I have a DVD recorder but can't figure out how to hook it up to the cable box. :(

Crap! I just realised I am doing the Boxing Day sales..... Hope I am home in time to see it!!!!!!!!!

I just watched the Christmas special tonight. The concept was good, but the execution...I mean Kazran was just an absolute prick as an adult (excuse my Klatchian) and he even had the nerve to blame the Doctor for what happened to him. The guy was pretty much beyond redemption, and although the Doctor's Ghost of Christmas Future idea was pretty clever, I would have just dragged Kazran over to the device Metal Gear Solid 2 style and shove him onto it and hope for the best.

I was really disappointed with this Christmas special. Normally they have been really good - giant robot walking over London - attack of the killer Christmas trees etc.

This one just left me feeling cold. It dragged a lot and wasn't up to the normal pace that I have come to expect from Doctor Who in recent years.

Hopefully 2011's series will be back on form.
