Unfortunately, Terry didn't want to write the book you wanted. "fanfiction"???? Please don't accuse Terry of such a thing. Fanfiction is for people who want to play with other people's worlds because they don't have the imagination to create their own. :naughty:

loved this book. wasn't sure beforehand as there always seems to be a degree of disappointment when the novel isn't discworld (so many characters to 'check in on' ) but I was truly surprised by how much i enjoyed it :)

I don't read Discworld fanfic, mainly because I don't want to get confused. But I have read one fanfic in a different fandom that I thought was excellent and very poignant (a Wodehouse and Sayers crossover).

No, no, no. Not slash at all. It was a totally PG-13 story that used the fact that Bertie and Lord Peter are written in the same time period and are of the same general social class. The story is Green Ice by Adina. There's a link on tvtropes.
