yes, Enders Game involves a lot of child on child violence
ending in the death of at least one of them
and a lot of adult content in the nature of the various relationships that disney will never film properly

Enders games.... As in zone of the Enders? Cause I played the first game and they only made 2 right? I mean it wasn't all that, so why the hype about them?

A bit like Battle Royal and Lord of the Flies then.

Nothing to do with it, other than the use of the word "Ender" in the title.

Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card, is one of the most acclaimed SF novels of all time. It's also the first of a five-book series plus a couple of other spinoff series. Some literary conspiracists claim that J.K. Rowling borrowed a lot of its narrative elements for the Harry Pottery series.

I'm not saying that it can't be filmed just that Disney will be unlikely to make it violent enough where it needs to be

I was going to say the poster tells me 'No' but the trailer says 'Maybe' until someone pointed out it was a fan made one. Thought the sound was off at the end of Robert Carlyle's line. I assumed YouTube just hiccupped or something.

Think I might give the books a try.

I'm not sure about this as a film, not just by the likes of Disney.
I know the screenplay has been written by Card himself, it's just that like Discworld there is a lot going on in the background and sooooo much of the story involves the violence and the way Ender is treated and of course Bean's back story as well.

I think this will be too toned down so it can get a 12 rating it won't even be worth buying, let alone wasting time in the cimena. Also no official trailer, the film must be pants then... Disney should have the marketing machine going full blast by now, cheap Chinese made toys in the Maccy D kids meals, play the Ender board game, beat your way to the top. Bet the aliens won't get called Buggers at any time during the film.

Loved the books, think not for the film.
