Its a fantasy world, like ours, set that is a round, flat world that sits on the backs of four elephants, who in turn are standing on a giant turtle flying through space. Stories involve wizards, witches, police, gods and Death. Sorry, I'm at work on my phone at that's moment the best I can do. Here is this link to the Wiki page. Hope it helps. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discworld

I'd say Reaper Man is fine to start with. Makes you curious about the earlier books while introducing you to the style they didn't have at places...

And sorry for calling you a troll....It just sounded awkwardly odd that you'd ask what the novels were after clearly stating you had some of them.

Yeah I wondered too at first....

Then I remembered that my daughter had given me some books a while ago and one night, bored, and not sure if I wanted to CHOOSE which one to read to googled the books to see if anyone actually said anything about them (first time I had ever done that on an unread book).

Anyway.... you dont HAVE to read TP to be here... though it does help.
