Today I realized that her style of comedy has a lot in common
with Sir Terry's style - not in the sad "must have footnotes" way
(that I have seen in some other authors' work) but genuinely
similar techniques. E.g., the sudden switch, the use of creative
metaphors, the character created in a few words, and so on.

I urge you to have a look at her work! I've been reading her blog
daily for years now.

She has a book available, which I don't have yet, but I want to try
for it (this is tricky for me because I never use money online and
must therefore cadge from my relatives who do, of course reimbursing
them).

Seriously, go thou and read. If only for Buford the Bison. Or the tea party.

I don't have a tumblr account.

What I do is connect, do a "select all" and begin "share" as if sending it to my email account.

Then I have it to read. I can either send it to myself to read later, or read now and cancel the email.
