Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones has a major plot element based a "Song" by John Donne. Howl is a major character. Ten thousand dsys and nights are involved, and the conclusion is Midsummer Day. Working backwards, it is possible to come close to knowing Howl's date of birth. It's a fan thing.
