Welcome The Tiffany series are what got deeply into the books, excellent reading. How can you not love the Feegles, for a start!
After reading all of them but ISWM (I'm saving it ) I read Witches Abroad (can't recommend high enough!) and loved getting to flesh out the characters of the legends that are Nanny and Granny.
So from my personal experience, I found that it was fine to read them in the order that I've spontaneously happened upon, TP seems very good at easing in a new reader and for me I'm just dipping into Discworld one book at a time... I'm sure there are benefits of reading story arcs (witches, death, nightwatch ect) in order, but is it actually essential?
(I know the Tiff books obviously should be read in order though of course).
