If u could make a request rom Terry Pratchett, what type of book would u want?
I would love a book with Vimes and nanny weatherwax and nanny interacting. I think they would learn to respect each other. It would also be cool to see Granny putting one over Vetinari, or Vetunari beeing surprised at Vimes. It would be o cool. I dont suppose we could make a request though, but it would be cool.

I have always liked this idea, but its one of those where I'm sure it would be a letdown if it happened - I thought it would happen in 5th Elephant briefly when Vimes passed by Lancre on the way to Uberwald, but nope!

But this interests me more, I like Pyramids and Small Gods because of this, they were like pleasant diversions, getting to know other areas and traditions. Although I read them knowing there were more with the regular characters to come.

Well Monstrous Regiment was set in a different place as was much of Thud! I think it's got a lot to do with using well known and loved characters.

The Alzeimers documentary that I watched last year said he had two left, I assumed that was Unseen Academicals and I Shall Wear Midnight. But now there is word of his next being Snuff, (+ Raising Taxes)

I really don't think it does to speculate on such matters - apart from anything else it seems somewhat disrespectful to me.

Writing it obviously a very important part of Terry's life and something that he's not likely to give up until he has no choice.

Let's hope he can continue to write for as long as possible - and wish him the very best of health while he is doing so.

I'd totally agree on that one. Actually, I'd settle for just Vimes and Granny Weatherwax, perhaps working together on a case in both AM and Lancre that drew them together from separate directions. They're both so similar that it'd be fun to see the sparks flying from their confrontations. Just to see Granny's reaction to Nobby alone would be worth it: "So, what are you, then?"

I think they might make good contestants on Celebrity Masterchef or some similar cookery show. I imagine the recipes/ingredients going something like this;

Maybe, but I would much prefer Vimes to time-travel into the past and have to carry out the role of Ol' Stoneface during the Ankh Morpork Civil War (much like he had to do in Nightwatch as Sergeant Keel). I think Sir Terry could have great fun with time paradoxes, Lu Tze, quantum physics, and an English Civil War spoof (I always envisaged Ol' Stoneface as a Cromwellian type)! Also, the knowledge that he chopped off the head of Carrot's Great, Great, Great, (etc.) Grandfather* could have interesting repercussions on the relationship between the two.

* Assuming that Carrot is actually the true heir. Sir Terry could surprise us all yet in this matter!

Don't know about the internet as such as the clacks are email-alikes effectively, so perhaps clacks communities more? It'd need a strong Discworld slant to it anyway.
