Thing is, I was reading "I Shall Wear Midnight" on my Amazon reading thingy on the way to London, and half way through one of the characters I noted was called Brian. Well, not unusual, rather chuffed as that is my name. And there it was again, so far so good, but then I came to a part and Tiffany shouted to this Brian character ... "Brian Roberts you put that down right now ...." or words to that effect.

I thought, thats clever. Kindle books can replace names, probably knows who I am though my registration and the book has placeholders for the First and Surname which get filled in.

Turns out I was wrong, the character does exist in paperback as one Brian Roberts, and as that's my actual really real name, I feel rather proud of that :)

Welcome to the site, innovatao!

I'm not sure about this, but sometimes people bid at charity auctions to be included in the books. I don't know if this is the case with the other Brian Roberts.

I think it was said just in a future book but Terry had just started the outline then for ISWM, but it's not the first time he has done that for the charity, and two years is quite a while to remember that through the alcohol haze of the con.

That *might* have been the one where John Hicks won but I couldn't be sure.

Brian Roberts DOES seem a rather ordinary name for a character in the DW books though huh.
