I'm shocked!

I've just read the Lost Continent discussion on the CA site and not one person seems to have "got" one of the main themes of the book.

And everyone seemed to dislike it, while I rate it more highly than Night Watch. o_O

Nowt so queer as folk, I'll go to the foot of my stairs etc etc

Actually, I like it a lot more now than I did, but I'll SAVE THAT FOR THE DISCUSSION ON MONDAY.

Ooops, silly me, the caps button seems to have stuck. :p

Tony, you don't have a part time job that involves hourglasses and a scythe, do you?

Funnily enough, I live across the road from a cemetery and they had a sign up in there for ages looking for a person able to use a scythe as there were places where they couldn't use a lawn mower. It always made me hoot with laughter.

Two questions. :p

a) Every time the Librarian sneezed he changed shape. The shape he became fit perfectly into the environment he was in. Why?

b) What was the significance of the cockroach?
Maybe I'll answer those questions tomorrow.

BTW I think you and SW are completely wrong about why it's set in Oz. 8)
That discussion was a long time ago - I may have changed my opinion by now. Although I don't remember what I said back then.
