I'm shocked!

I've just read the Lost Continent discussion on the CA site and not one person seems to have "got" one of the main themes of the book.

And everyone seemed to dislike it, while I rate it more highly than Night Watch.

Nearly finished rereading it.... YEP. Alot of it DID go right over my head the first time.... because of WHERE I live... I have always hated Rincewind... I am sorta coming around to him.

Funnily enough, I live across the road from a cemetery and they had a sign up in there for ages looking for a person able to use a scythe as there were places where they couldn't use a lawn mower. It always made me hoot with laughter.

a) Every time the Librarian sneezed he changed shape. The shape he became fit perfectly into the environment he was in. Why?

That discussion was a long time ago - I may have changed my opinion by now. Although I don't remember what I said back then.
