Having watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show all the way through for the first time, I thought it was time to look at the other side of this cult film: audience participation. Some jokes are apparently well known to fans of the film. Others are obscure. This thread is to make up your own jokes.

So, I'll start.

Dr. Scott: Janet!

Janet: Dr. Scott!

Brad: Janet!

Janet: Brad!

Frank: Rocky!

(Rocky looks over to Frank)

Audience: (a la Papa Lazarou from The League of Gentlemen) Dave!

Dr. Scott: Janet!

Anyway...

One I made up today is, whenever Magenta does something weird, I growl warningly, "Belazs!" (pronounced something like 'Bell-aarjh') Magenta is played by Patricia Quinn, you see, and she also played Belazs in the Doctor Who story Dragonfire. Got a fatal case of freezing-hands-to-the-face. She also plays an over-the-top space valkyrie Queen Angvia in the audio story Bang-Bang-a-Boom!

Another one I came up with was yelling "It's a Big 'Un!" every time Christopher Biggins comes up on screen (he's the Transylvanian who has a canape put into his mouth during Time Warp).

I have never really seen the RHPS - a "friend" loaned it to me, but I didn't get very far with it and didn't bother with the rest. Not my cup of tea at all, I'm afraid.

Hmm. I don't know whether you're missing out or not, as it's a [EFF!]ing weird film, and very much an acquired taste. It's worth watching once though, if only to understand where all the pop culture references to it from afterwards came from. And it satirises B-movies and the like.
