Hello all,
Sorry for the plug, but if you're in the Norwich area over the next few weeks, the local group Laughing Monkey are perfrming Pratchett's Maserade at The Norwich Puppet Theatre between Thursday October 13th & Saturday October 15th from 7.30pm. Details below.
The prospect of becoming a witch doesn't really appeal to Agnes Nitt … certainly not if Granny Weatherwax is anything to go by. Fleeing her destiny she travels to Ankh Morpork where she means to make a name for herself as a singer at the Discworld-famous Opera House … although singing someone else's part, from the chorus, wasn't quite what she had in mind. Within the Opera House, fear and terror are rife. The infamous 'Opera Ghost', once considered good luck by the company, has recently been responsible for a number of terrible 'accidents': vandalism, assault … even murder …
Meanwhile, with their coven reduced to two, Nanny Ogg is very worried that Granny Weatherwax might be turning … well … black. Fortunately Granny's ire is pricked when she discovers that Nanny's rather suspect cook-book, The Joye of Snacks, has made a fortune for a publishing house in Ankh Morpork. Setting off to recover her diddled royalties, the witches become embroiled in the mystery at the Opera House … and if there's one thing Granny Weatherwax won't put up with, it's a mystery ...
