Loved the book but it was a bit jumbly about the ghost honestly, I did like the twists about SPOILER: there being two people playing ghost but it was muddly even for a mystery. I would have liked Perdita to have been recognized for her singing talent in the end, it was a bit anticlimatic, for her to have such an amazing range and to simply end it with SPOILER: her doing a scale.
However, I really enjoyed the bits with the cook book, Henry Slug, and Greebo becoming a human mister fluffy. I was devouring this book all day but felt that no justice had really come to Perdita/Anges. But always a good read! OH! and the glimmering roses in the dark of the cellars were marvelous but I felt were unfairly SPOILER: trampled and left out. Thank you for the wonderful books!

Agnes, whether she likes it or not, is a witch and witches don’t get happy endings.

I love this book it's so funny, especially the cookbook bits. This is the best example, imo, of Nanny and Granny working in tandem, and I get the feeling Terry had a lot of fun writing this one.
