You know, why does germany suck so much when it comes to Discworld?
The con here is pretty dull and when it comes to how the local publisher is treading the books is beyond good and evil. (They are getting mainstreamed at all costs now)
France gets such pretty covers (YMMV) and what does germany get?
Let me show you:
The new 'IMPROVED' german cover of Moving Pictures

I see what you mean, LilMaibe, not exactly eyecatching is it? :( Mind you, they also thought it a good idea to slip in unauthorized soup ads into the books.
That was a different publisher. This one's worse: This one's up to completely change the whole existant translations in order to make them standardised and more appealing to everyone (in other words: mainstream at all costs)

I actually did Dx I think the german ones will get worse.
(My all-time-favourite cover though still is an old LF cover from estonia. Simply because it made me go: When the heck did Rincewind save Pepperland?!)

This thread is AWESOME - Marc your art is brilliant.

Not quite sure how I've missed it before.

Almost without exception the characters are close to how I imagine them; I particularly like your Brutha, Vimes, Angua & Cheery, Ptraci ;) and Esk.

I love the artwork kemar, very nice! And I see you've done some work for Wizards of the Coast as well, you lucky so and so!

The Witches abroad cover is great, Nanny looks like she's had one too many 'herbal wines"
I especially like your take on Greebo as i thought he still looks a little too 'fluffy' in most of the work I've seen...

I'm excited to see more now!
