Congratulations, on the baby and the excellent artwork! I have to buy a few, just to frame the dustjackets (maybe I can brush up on my french at the same time)

Eh ! We don't know the name of your son in France...

Encore félicitations à vous deux en tout cas ^^

Also, the repaer was inspired by "L'angélus" a famous french picture :

Oh thank you BaronBreton! I was trying to place that pic but the portrayal of Death and the lady Miss Thingie (forgot her name again! )also reminds me of some of Bruegel the Elder's and of Van Gogh's earlier work featuring 'peasants'.

Raphael the brilliant Renaissance artist and architect (friend and rival of Michelangelo) painted a very beautiful study of cherubim, which have inspired many other artists including myself, that I've adapted digitally...

(which I dedicate to pooh since he loathes it so much! ) and Kemar's opera angel that he's named his son after ;)

The background skyscape also strongly reminds me of the work of JMW Turner and thus of his own hero the baroque artist Claude Lorrain in the treatment of the lighting especially ;)

Hey sorry I didn't answered sooner...

I'm currently working on 3 of the sorceresses series...

"witches abroad": done
"wyrd sisters" : work in progress
"equal rites": I'm reading it another time, to find out the good illustration...

Don't make the same mistake that Josh Kirby did with Equal Rites and put Esk's broom handle in an interesting place.

Although, if my theory about the book is correct, maybe it wasn't a mistake.

Looking forward to seeing the new covers, kemar!
