Colin Welland, writer of Chariots of Fire and actor has died. He was 81 and had suffered from Alzheimers for some years. RIP

RIP Warren Mitchell. Very sad to hear about this. He was a great actor. His character, Alf Garnett was pure genius. I remember him being interviewed years later and saying that he personally found it hysterical that so many idiots thought that Alf's views about such things as racism and politics were wise. As he pointed out, this was pure satire and his character was actually mocking those people.

One of the most famous TV series in America was based on 'Til Death Do Us Part - Archie Bunker was the American Alf Garnett.
