I remember when I was 12 and broke my arm I was given two books by my teacher . One was Major to Minor which was a complete set of the Adrian Mole books up to that point.
I remember reading the whole lot cover to cover in one day and night and I still love it and have that copy.

RIP Sue Townsend. I think she lived just round the corner from where I first lived in Leicester. I could picture the settings for the first Mole story. Loved the Queen and I too and The Woman who went to Bed for a Year is next on my to-read pile.
