We missed this! :( On January 19, 2020, Sir Derek Fowlds passed away from sepsis resulting from pneumonia.

Known to at least three generations of TV watchers, Derek presented on the Basil Brush Show in the 70s, but he found fame in the 80s with Minder, and especially as the naive and callow Bernard Woolley on Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister, acting with Paul Eddington (as Jim Hacker) and Nigel Hawthorne (as Sir Humphrey). In the 1990s, Derek again graced our screens in Heartbeat, which ran from 1992 to 2010.

RIP Bernard -- er, Derek :(

RIP Little Richard. :( The music world owes you a debt it can never repay. Founding father of rock & roll, performer for over 7 decades. His innovations played a role in forming soul music and funk music. Numerous singers and musicians were influenced by him, from rock to hip hop. His music helped shape rhythm and blues for generations.

Not only that, but he was one of the first crossover black artists - his music and concerts reached audiences of all races. He broke the color line, drawing black people and white people together, despite attempts to sustain segregation.

We also lost illusionist and entertainer Uwe Ludwig Horn, better known as Roy Horn, of Siegfried and Roy fame. (He passed away from COVID-19-related complications).
