Hello all,

Really not sure if I'm putting this in the correct board but here goes:

I need to ask your opinions on the possibility of a youtube webshow discussing the discworld books? Its something I've been thinking about doing for a while now but because of the amount of work that would go into it (because I honestly have no clue how to approach creating a webshow haha!) I'd like to ask you guys if there's an interest in something like this?

Any help or discussion would be amazingly helpful!

Hi Sue. :) Would this be you discussing the books and allowing for comments underneath? Or would you be discussing various books with other people?

I don't know if you have seen Mark Reads? He hasn't ever read the books before, but he is working his way through them in order. The videos get posted to YouTube and he posts comments about each section as he reads them. I suspect this isn't what you are planning, but you might get some ideas from them. :)

Good luck! I'd certainly watch them and would join in any discussions.

Thanks Tony!

I'm not 100% sure just yet, but my idea was to discuss the books, characters and their 'series' for all readers to have a further discussion if they wish. I would have to say I was inspired by the youtube shows vsauce, pbs gameshow and thedex, so probably in a manner similar to them, if a little bit longer.

I haven't seen Mark Reads but I'll definitely give them a look!

Thanks again

Another good but intermittent YouTube show that just started a couple months ago.

Thanks Mixa! I'm just gonna spend some time finding resources and writing up a few pilot scripts I think, and seeing what works best for me :p
