Meerkat - you seem to have a nasty cough. Go see a doctor! ;)

I'd quite like him to do a take on the Olympics - gotta be more entertaining that all that tripe going on next year.

Polts you'd like to read

Hi,

New to this forum so be kind.

1. a story abt Hex would be interesting. Its ripe for parodies of AI and sentience and if Death had to come an kill it...that would be interesting too.

2. The Discworld has alluded to but not defined a land analogous to India. Guess, being Indian, I'd love to see Sir Pratchett explore those possibilities. Plenty of Gods, spices, dancing, yoga etc?

3. I'd love to see a discworld version of a spaghetti western story line. that could be tied in with the discovery of a new world (America)?

I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on these

As for a Hex storyline, I can imagine how Hex, being a logic engine, will grow and develop and try and fix all the logical inconsistencies of the disc. Magic might stop work etc etc... Then of course, hex would need killing. Maybe Vetinari could come out of his assassin retirement for one last job to kill Hex (or at least return it to its older existence if at all possible). The scene from 2001 space odyssey with HAL would be so cool in the discworld.
Tings cold be further complicated if Hex couldn't be killed because Hex could challenge Death (or DEATH to be more precise) to any game and win.

I like the possibilities of the plot and I'm sure that the genius that is Terry Pratchett could make so much more with this story.

My 2 cents

Welcome Pi!

I'd like to read more about HEX as well. I wonder where Terry could take a storyline like that.
I'd be happy if i could toss the idea that's gnawing on my creativity centre for a while over Dx...
Remember my Homo Apparatus FF? That bloody thing evolved into a match between Hex and Pex... help me get it out, it's blocking my regular work. >< *grumpy*

EDIT:
Neat plot, Pi, but HEX is anything but a 'logical' being. He's capable of common sense, the complete opposite. And he seems to be fully aware that he can die and will if his time comes. After all, remember the scene in Hogfather...
