That's the idea I'd dearly like to toss over.
Basically it's the following: PEX growing a consciousness similar to HEX's, but due to Henry (the former dean) and some of the brazeneck students telling PEX that he's so much better than HEX cause HEX has become 'too human' over the years the follwing logic takes place in PEX's mind:
'I'm bettern than HEX because HEX is too human. Therefor being human is a flaw'

It sounds interesting LilMaibe. And I shall certainly read your own piece in full soon.

I had another plot craving come to me the other day.

I'd love to see a ponzi scheme in Ankh Morpork! (maybe a dash of property markets and credit crunches and maybe a cabbage bubble or 2) If TP coiuld introduce all the crazy financial tools of our world in the discworld it would certainly make for an entertaining book.

Unfortuantely, all this would be too close to making money and the possible story of raising taxes... so it seems unlikely :(

On a further sidenote: Is it me or is Ponder becoming more and more like Trymon?

... And someone please shoot me (metaphorically)... the bloody plot is fleshing itself out *wanders off to hit her head against a wall*

And to fan the fire:
Going by the unofficial timeline the folks over at L-space figured out, Ponder was born exactly the year Trymon died...

I'm quite liking the Pex vs. Hex plotline.

One of the stories that I would quite like to read would be about Susan and Lobsang's (Time) possible child. If their relationship progressed quickly after the Thief of Time, their child could be roughly the same age as Young Sam. It would probably work best as a side-plot to a main (Watch) story, but I would definitely like to see the child of time/grandchild of Death. A meeting between Susan and Vimesy would be interesting, in the least. Susan could also possibly be the teacher of Young Sam.

A Vetinari-focused book would be interesting, and might tie into the underground railroad system he was planning for Ankh-Morpork (or so I remember reading). However, I feel as if it might be better to have Vetinari clouded in mystery, as the little tidbits we get from each book are always so random and delightful (like the drunk Vetinari in UA).

Catharsis

I love being able to vent discworld plot ideas on this forum

I had a few more inspiration particles collide with my head yesterday.

A discworld book about enviromentalism/pollution/global warming and teh Gaia principle would be interesting. It feels to me like a Granny Weatherwax sort of book but the river Ankh must be a main character in this some how. So many avenues to explore I feel.

Another idea that would be interesting is having comic books/ super hero(es) in Discworld. Especially since they might end up being quite un spectacular in all that magic and Carrot etc. A magically enhanced spider biting a little street urchin? :) It kinda feels like a little like a watch story line.

Here's hoping (fingers crossed)

And another thing

Had another cool idea for a discworld novel.

The only individual that can challenge Commander Vimes to his fullest now is
.....
Commander Vimes himself.

How about a future Commander (Patrician?) Vimes comes back to the present (he might bring future Angua and Carrot maybe) to stop present Vimes from going down one particular trouser leg of time...? So its Vimes vs Vimes at its best...Should be fun :)

Nice one, Pi, though I think that sorta has been done in Jingo and SoD2, well sorta :|

EDIT: Another thing: Is it just me or was the idea of people 'blackmailing' a god/dess into behaving not explored yet?
This being the Disc and all why did no larger group yet get the idea of saying 'either you get a grip on yourself or we'll stop worshipping you'
