OK. this one isn't fair, in fact as Terry would probably put it "It's a bit of a bugger". Other than Terry and Colin the only other person i know for certain could check this by getting the book off their bookshelves is Pooh as a tiny number of copies were ever published and I know he has one of the others.

There is logic in the Discworld. It is perfectly normal sensible logic.It's just that it's in the wrong place.

I will take as a correct answer the book that didn't have this quote in it when it was published but sort of did before then.

That's because I posted on this forum that this particular text had been left out. Colin has confirmed to me that it will be in the next collection. However that doesn't help with identifying the book that is currently the only place you can read this quote. :twisted:

Hint: This quote only occurs in the UK proof of the book and is the only example of a significant piece of Terry's writing that is only found in a book proof. However I just need the title of the mainstream Discworld novel that it later became.....
