Just saw the red carpet pictures, but I don't get it why everyone is wearing a red flower?
It was Remembrance Day yesterday. Every year people in Britain and some other countries wear poppies around the month or so leading up to the 11th of November - the anniversary of the end of the 1st World War.

See the thread that I started af few days ago in the Broken Drum:

Got a midnight show to avoid the sound of kids vomiting etc.

Average reviews looking at Daves additions but not too worried.

I'll wait till it comes on the telly.
You have to read the books first anyway.
I started reading the books about 3 months before HP5 was showing. I got bored halfway through book four and gave up.

I'll wait till this one comes on pay per veiw.

Of course I'm going! I've seen every single one in the cinema & got the DVD's. I could not not go to the penultimate one.
I have re-read the book too, my pal also, as she & I have a competition going to see who is nearest as to when the first part finishes.

I will not watch the movie in a cinema since in Germany a synchronized version will be shown. We have all Harry Potter movies on DVD though, and you can choose the language you want to watch them in, and of course we choose "English". As soon as the movie is available on DVD we are going to buy it.
What interests me most is where they split up the last book. I would choose the scene in which Ron leaves Harry and Hermione after an argument; the sene happens somwhere in the middle of the last book and would be the perfect ending for the first part

Hungarians also synchronize everything  A horrible habit. Still, there are cinemas where you can watch it original version... have to look for them a lot, though

Edit: I agree with you, Jean, cutting the movie there would be quite apropriate... ;)

Hoping to see it somewhere next week.

Cutting when Ron leaves would be a good time, like Tolkien cutting when Frodo was seemingly dead by the bite of Shelob :)

(incoming outrage on dragging Tolkien into a Harry Potter movie in 5....4...3...)
