I heard that SMG detested the Gold Coast, where I live, so she can go and do something inconvenient to herself with an egg beater.

Having lived in a few different places, I can say that whether of not you like it depends on your experiences there. If in your first few days, the weather's nice, you meet up with friends & find a great place to go out, you can really like a place. In Cambridge, I was lonely, it was crappy weather, the road signs were terrible and I could never find my way back home, and the parking was extortionate.

Hence, Cambridge is shite (although in reality, it's probably fine).

I felt the same way when I visited Brighton for the first and only time, in the middle of what felt to me like a cyclone. I knew it wasn't gonna be sunshine and lollipops, but I was traumatised by the wet and wild weather, and not in the best of moods to meet friends of the family who lived there. I joke that it's the one place in the UK I will definitely not return to.
