I once knew a woman called "Odecia Pilgrim" which would make a lovely name for a discworld character.

Also the president of NIgeria "Goodluck Johnson" sounds like he ought to be a relative of a certain discworld architect

I know someone local whose name is Cecil Quarryman and you could not imagine anyone who looks less like a "Cecil" and enjoys the nickname of "Tiny."
He is at least 6'8" and I would estimate tips the scale at over 300 pounds. He works in a wrecking yard and lives down the road from me with his mum. Also sings in the church choir.

I was thinking that too

I heard a great name yesterday, but it was in the doctor's waiting room so I don't want to say :(

In the paper I was reading today was an education piece written by a person called "Widget Finn". Magnificent!

Oh what sadistic gits named their child Widget?

He (presumably) must have endured hell in the playground, and especially if he was around when the beer can with the widget in the bottom came out.

He has a genius for finding such unbelievable truths that they easily masquerade as fantasy - I've lost track of the times when I have found some real world foundation for something in Discworld and been amazed by both the fact that what I had thought to be whimsical invention is actually true, and the breadth of Terry's knowledge of recondite material
