I used to love going to the Saturday Morning Pictures at the local cinema, watching such classics as "The Lone Ranger", "Flash Gordon", etc. The atmosphere was great with us kids cheering and stamping our feet.
You old git!

Actually, so did I. I remember there was one story a bit like Indie Jones (probably why I liked Indie Jones) and every week the hero was going to die so you had to go next week to see what happened

And speaking of Batman, wasn't that brilliant? The Adam West Batman was on from Monday to Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday he was always caught and going to die, but on Friday he (and Robin) had a big punch up with the bad guys with "pows" and "kersplats" etc etc. :p

it was on telly when we were kids too, rather than the cinema...
They keep rerunning the old batman and my kids started watching it too!

An awful lot of these programmes seemed to be designed with merchandise in mind. Transformers springs to mind, although that was at least quite good.

Anyone remember MASK?

What about The Get Along Gang? I remember taking my kids to a department store where there were people dressed the characters. I think the kids were somewhat traumatised.

Oh god, have to go back a bit.

Tom and Jerry.
Roadrunner.

Actually, I didn't see many cartoons as a child, we only got a TV when I was about 6. One channel.

Later though, when I had my own kids and watched TV with them, I adored Sesame Street, Animaniacs and got to like Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh and I loooovvved Thomas The Tank Engine.
Nowadays it's Family Guy and I still like The Simpsons.

I remember many of these. I really made Transformers a case in point (I was obsessed with it when I was young  ), but I also had watched the following: Thundercats, Silverhawks, GI Joe, Astro Boy, Denver the Last Dinosaur, Dinosaucers, Captain Planet, MASK, Ewoks, and, of course, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Most of these, I was obsessed with well before I came to Doctor Who at the age of 8.

Of course, I didn't stop watching them when I came to Doctor Who. I also remember The Twins of Destiny, as well as the anime series Pokemon and Dragonball Z. I still enjoy the latter.
