Looks like the paddle-boat (steamer? Do they have steam power?) How ARE they powering those wheels?) is going through something quiet violent ... the broken timbers.. the smashed glass....

And whats with the hourglass near the wheel? Is that as a timekeeper? Or is it a lifetimer of Death's?

this is probobly completely wrong but the flash flood with trees and boulders hefted up like papaerweights reminds me of the description of koom vally, maybe we're about to find out what happened in those months away before UA?

Stop Press!!

At the DWCon, at the Terry and Rob bedtime stories last night, Rob read from a new book which is currently work in progress called "Snuff".
It's about goblins and starts off with Sam Vimes going away on holiday for two weeks with Sybil to their country house. :p

Don't know what happened to Raising Taxes.
Wow! That's HUGE!

With goblins in it, you gotta wonder if this is going to be a sequel to "UA" with Nutt and Glenda (and maybe Mightily Oats) dealing with the "lost goblin" problem.

I'll take this over "Raising Taxes" anytime!

J-I-B

I haven't read any Moist ones, but I've seen the two part special. I know what happens in Making Money, and didn't like the general plot one bit. So another Moist one with his job changing AGAIN will only make me die of unoriginality.

However, a sequel to Unseen Academicals (which had the mentioning of Mightily Oats as having saved Nutt when he went to Uberwald) would be much better than this. Also it would be nice to see if the Wizards manage to break out of the Patrician's timely orders to make them in charge of the game alike the Thieves Guild in charge of crime.

What I really want is a non-Tiffany Witches story with ALL the witches (Agnes and Magrat and Nanny) along with Granny. Where was Agnes in the last few Aching books?

Do you ever think her and Oats will meet up again? Or Oats get a main part in any future book?
